ClearPlay CEO Named Top Utah Entrepreneur

Receives VSpring V/100 Recognition for Second Year


SALT LAKE CITY, April 16, 2007 – ClearPlay Chief Executive Officer Bill Aho was named as one of the vSpring v/100 top Utah entrepreneurs, vSpring announced today. The award, from a voting of peers, recognizes those individuals most likely to head a technology company as CEO or CTO in the next five years. This is the second year in a row Aho has been named to v/100.

The v/100 was created in 2004 by vSpring Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Salt Lake City. “We applaud the efforts by vSpring to foster and recognize entrepreneurs,” Aho said. “Utah is an excellent market for technology companies with a broad range of highly-qualified leaders and entrepreneurs.”

ClearPlay’s patented technology uses Filters that are created specifically for each movie, allowing for frame-specific skips and mutes. ClearPlay offers Filters for over 2100 top movies, and adds more every week when new DVD’s are released. The CP-007 uses a USB FilterStik? to transfer new Filters from a PC or laptop to the player. The FilterStik also allows playback of digital photos on TV.
