Heart and Souls
Four people who have died too early have unfinished business before they cross over to the other side. Their only link to the people they’ve left behind is Thomas Reilly, a baby born at the time they died and they have been attached to him as guardian angels ever since (Robert Downey Jr.). Can they convince Thomas to help them finish their tasks?
ClearPlay in Action!
There should be more movies like this these days. It will tug at your heart in the best way and leave you feeling the need to not put off until tomorrow what you can do today! I chose medium filters since I had seen this before and remembered it was pretty clean. There was more language than I remembered but it was filtered out nicely. A scene where a man is driving and is looking into a vehicle next to his while watching a man run his hands up and down on a woman’s bare thigh is not (that was the most risqué scene in the whole movie). The story is based on people who have died but very little of them dying is shown just after when they are spirits.
Will this warm your heart and sooth your soul?...
Yep, I think it will! Robert Downey Jr. is fantastic as usual; I truly love and enjoy his acting and will watch anything he is in. His physical comedy while he transforms into so many characters is engaging and hilarious. To add to the list of great actors in this; Kyra Sedgwick, Tom Sizemore, Alfre Woodard and Charles Grodin play the “lost souls”. This may be a forgotten little gem or maybe you’ve never seen it but I delighted in this all over again and my fond opinion from years ago hasn’t changed. This is a pretty family friendly film with your filters on and maybe turn up the sexuality filters to most if showing to anyone younger than teens.
