The Terminal
What Are YOU Waiting For?
Tom Hanks plays an immigrant (Victor) who becomes stranded in the JFK airport. He can't go home but he can't leave the airport either. So how does one go about making one's home in an international airport? Will you be bored watching him do so? Watch and see.
You will not be bored. I picked this movie as a tribute to composer John Williams who is up for an Oscar this year for his music in Lincoln. I'm a big Williams fan, the man is a musical genius and has done the music for Indiana Jones, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Harry Potter etc. etc. However, I was so engrossed in the story in this movie and watching Tom Hanks and Stanley Tucci that I forgot to even notice the music! Which is great in a way. This film is a little slower paced so if you can't handle that then it wont be for you, but if you've got a little movie watching patience you're sure to have fun with this one.
Motherly Advice: With filters on Medium I could have watched it with my little ones. They'd have been bored within the first three minutes but it was really clean. Only one thing you might consider with older kids though is that Catherine Zeta Jones's character talks about the man she is dating having a wife. Other than that I can't think of anything that you might be wary of with young audiences. So it gets a thumbs up for any age but probably only the older teens will be interested in it.
