Oliver Twist
Oliver Twist is an orphan that nobody seems to want, until a man named Fagin and a house full of pick pocketing orphans take him under their wings. A lifestyle that brings Oliver a sense of belonging but is at the cost of other people’s wallets.
ClearPlay in Action!
View Oliver Twist with medium filters and you’ll see a film with an orphan finding his place, it is intense throughout with several child beatings (sticks, brooms, starvation, hitting, etc.) There are two hanging scenes, both are implied and don’t show the bodies, as well as two people that are shot, one of which shows a lot of blood but no body. Because of the intense child abuse I’d recommend this film for ages 16+.
Will Oliver Twist be too Twisted for you to watch?
I was expecting a slow movie with mediocre acting and what I got was a grippingly intense movie with remarkable acting! Barney Clark (Oliver Twist) is captivating and Ben Kingsley evokes every human emotion imaginable (including disgust and repulsion). Not a movie for the kiddos but one I’d watch again!
Trisha - Just twisted enough to enjoy a movie like Oliver Twist!
