  • Annapolis

As a child, Jake Huard made one promise to his dying mother, that one day he'd make it into the famous naval academy, Annapolis. A promise that he fulfilled but with commanding officers and his own father telling him he won't survive training, it's up to him to prove to them and himself that he's a fighter.

    ClearPlay in Action!

Viewed with most filters and you'll be spared several expletives and a few bloody scenes that occur from the boxing matches. You will see a soldier in his underwear, and a bar scene that includes some drinking and two women scantily dressed. The boxing is violent and brutal, there's a LOT of punching, spitting, blood splurting, etc. This film is only suitable for ages 14+.

    Is Annapolis a Ringer?

I liked James Franco, the feeling of coalescence, and the suspenseful boxing match. On the flip side, this film is having a major identity crisis. Is it about a young man making it as a soldier in the Navy, or a boxer trying to take revenge on his superior officers? Annapolis is not bad, but definitely not a TKO!!
