  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I

Voldemort is on the move, hunting down good witches and wizards and terrorizing all of magic–dom. What he wants most is another shot at the elusive Harry Potter, a chance to kill him and show the world that he is more powerful than the Boy Who Lived. Harry and friends run for their lives, desperately searching for the mysterious Horcruxes, magical containers that sustain Voldemort, in a desperate attempt to kill him.

    ClearPlay In Action!

ClearPlay removes some minor language incidents and tones down a couple of disturbing images. The infamous (and pointless) suggestive kissing scene is also trimmed. This is a tense, scary movie and not for the little kids.

Should I Say Hallow or Goodbye?…

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 ditches the whimsical and fun for the grim and sometimes gruesome. It establishes a dark tone from the start and never lets up as the heroes are chased everywhere and engage in a number of frantic battles. With some great visuals and plenty of interpersonal tension, this is one of the more engaging of the Potter films and certainly an improvement over the dragging sixth movie. Part two of this story comes out in three months, and thanks to a sharp part one, I may pay theater prices to go see it.

Rated PG-13 for some sequences of intense action violence, frightening images and brief sensuality.; 146 min; Directed By David Yates
