No sex or nudity here. The violence and swearing are on par with the other Bourne films. Expect some skips during the fights and the occasional muted exclamation. The workplace massacre portrayed in the film is chilling and may strike a sensitive nerve considering recent events.
Can this Film be Bourne?…
To be clear, The Bourne Legacy is not about Jason Bourne and was not directed by Paul Greengrass. On the plus side, the story melds really well with the previous Bourne films, and Jeremy Renner’s Aaron Cross comes off as more affable than Matt Damon’s Jason Bourne. On the minus side, the film does not have the frenetic tension of the previous three films, the director using a more narrative pace. While the previous Bourne films are superior, there’s a lot to like about The Bourne Legacy, as well. Give it a spin.
