ClearPlay In Action!
There are lots of raw emotions in Silver Linings Playbook. Fist fights, salty arguments, language, and a scene of infidelity. ClearPlay edits partial nudity, some blood and 140 instances of profanity, including 75 F–words (the adjective of choice here). Adult themes are discussed, and the movie’s appeal would be mainly for mature teens and above.
Is Silver Linings Playbook filled with dark clouds?…
Whatever storminess is in SLP is purely intentional. The movie walks a fine line between comedy and tragedy, keeping the conflicts focused on character. Wonderful acting by Cooper and Oscar–winner Lawrence add to this strong dark comedy.
