Snitch
When Jason inadvertently falls into the schemes of a druggie friend, he gets arrested and thrown in prison. Jason’s Dad, John Matthews, goes undercover, striking a deal with the Attorney General. If John helps arrest major drug players, his son will be set free. But as John goes deeper into the shady world of the drug cartels, he realizes he has put his entire family in danger.
ClearPlay In Action!
ClearPlay takes care of about 35 instances of language, about of third of which are ‘S’ words. It also cleans up a few violent spots, mostly gun related violence. With filters on full, the movie is still very easy to follow, though the themes skew more toward older teens and adults.
Should I Tattle on the Snitch?
Snitch is a suitably tense drama that deserves at least one spin. It’s mostly movie, but also partly a protest against laws that harshly punish first time drug offenders. Before and after the movie you will be treated to some information about the laws the movie is portraying dramatically. While the movie employs Dwayne Johnson, it is not a thriller or an action fest as you may expect with him in the lead. Still, Snitch is a decent show and may further persuade you and yours not to get involved in drugs.
