Now You See Me
When a rising group of magicians called the Four Horsemen steal money from a bank through magic, the FBI scrambles to make sense of it. A professional magic debunker is called in to help figure out how the money stealing tricks are done. As more money disappears, the magicians are forced to run from the law and the investigators realize that someone else may be behind the magic.
ClearPlay In Action!
ClearPlay trims a scene of sensuality, some sexual talk and immodesty, and around forty five instances of swearing or religious exclamations. This includes an F word and about 15 S words. The movie filters quite well, and would be appropriate for teens and up.
Now Do I See Now You See Me?…
Now You See Me has a very intriguing premise with strong characters and the mysterious element of magic. The story will keep you on your toes as you wonder how the tricks are done and who is behind it all. My only complaint is that when the big twist does come at the end and the mastermind of the entire plot is revealed, it breaks one of the fundamental rules of mystery stories: there should be clues the audience can pick up on to guess who it is. As it stands, I felt cheated because there was no clue at all. Still, Now You See Me is an entertaining ride and deserves a spin.
