ClearPlay In Action!
ClearPlay mutes about four instances of the S word along with around 25 other instances of swearing, mostly of the mild variety. Also trimmed is the brief but infamous (for its pointlessness) "Doctor Marcus standing in her underwear" scene. While most of the violence involves ships blowing up and phaser pistols knocking people down, there are a few intense spots ClearPlay hops over. The film is still easy to follow. With filters, this is a good adventure for teens and up.
Should I Boldy Go Into Darkness?
Star Trek: Into Darkness is a lot of fun to watch and a must see for Trek fans everywhere. Yes, some of the die hard old timers will be upset by J.J. Abrams interpretation of things, but there's no denying that the characters are engaging, the plot exciting, and the special effects top notch. Even non Trekkies can find somthing to enjoy here, so cue up the ClearPlay player, strap on some popcorn, and go boldly into darkness.
