Iron Man 3
After the intense fight in The Avengers, Tony Stark has trouble sleeping and suffers from the occasional panic attack. Add in difficulties with the love of his life, Pepper Potts, and the mighty Iron Man is ill prepared to deal with Mandarin, a terrorist bent on the destruction of the United States. After Tony’s house is destroyed and he is presumed dead, he must use his smarts to uncover the real threat behind a series of escalating bombings and bring the Mandarin to justice.
ClearPlay In Action!
Iron Man 3 has around twenty instances of profanity and religious exclamations for ClearPlay to mute. ClearPlay also cleans up some innuendo and immodesty. The violence in this installment is also of a different quality than the previous films as the opponents are superhumans rather than just machines. There is some skipping, but the plot is easy to follow.
Is Iron Man 3 a Threepeat?
Give credit to the writer and director for creating a film that feels very different from the other two but is still unmistakably Iron Man. The only quibble some fans may have is that Tony Stark spends a lot of time outside of his mechanical suit, the point of the movie is to see if there is iron in the man who is Iron Man. But don’t fret. There are a lot of mechanical suits and a lot of action, plenty of snarky one liners, and a more personal take on the man inside the metal. Superhero fans won’t be disappointed. Ben Kingsley deserves a shout out for nearly stealing the show in his role as Mandarin.
