Unbreakable
Elijah Price is a comic book “enthusiast” who believes that all comic book stories are loosely based on historical facts. He also believes that David Dunn is his personal, matching opposite- the salt to his pepper, the hero to his villain.
ClearPlay in Action!
ClearPlay filters out a handful of swear words and one or two other offensive comments. While M. Night Shyamalan is a master of suggestion, this film may not have a lot of violence in it but there are plenty of implications towards violence. For instance, you won’t see the murder scene but you’ll see the body, you won’t see the rape but the scene clearly suggests it will happen. So even with filters this one is only for adults.
Will Unbreakable Make a Fan Out of You?...
If you’re a fan of the more palatable thriller and thoughtful suspense flick then Unbreakable is a match for you. This film is quiet in the Shyamalan way but also nail biting in it’s quietness. I miss M. Night Shyamalan’s awesome movies. He had 4 superbly understated, spooky flicks and then it was down the steep hill of horror from there. I’m still hopeful that he’ll make a comeback.
Anyone heard anything great about his new TV series Wayward Pines?
