ClearPlay In Action!
Gone Girl is a dark movie of a marriage based on selfishness and lies with some brutal adult content. ClearPlay cuts several scenes of all types of intercourse, some with partial nudity. The ClearPlayed version also removes some violence and blood, one a particularly graphic scene. Approximately 100 incidents of language are edited, about half of them the F-word. The movie presents a cynical portrayal of relationships that can’t be cut, and is not appropriate for young viewers.
Is this Girl going, going...?...
Despite its grim subject, Gone Girl boasts a very clever script with excellent performances. Director David Fincher specializes in dark subject matter, and the movie is effective in telling an engaging story with unseemly lead characters. Great movie-making with a questionable theme.
