Terminator Genisys
If you don’t know much about the Terminator series, it’s about technology that somewhere in the future brings about The End, something the movie calls “Judgment Day.” Because the stakes are high, both sides try to mess with the past, sending super robots to beat the other side at a time when the enemy was weaker. In Genisys, Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) goes backin time to 1984 to save the world. A rift has caused him to enter an alternate timeline, and now he must rethink his original mission, helping Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and her Guardian, Pops(Arnold Schwarzenegger).
ClearPlay In Action!
There is some science fiction violence in Terminator Genisys that could be off-putting to younger viewers. In the ClearPlayed version, scenes of nudity are cut (you can’t travel in time with your clothes on), blood is mopped up, and about 30 profanities are excised. Because of widespread mayhem, viewers should probably skew to teens and older.
If the end is near, will a Terminator really help? ‘The End’ is implied in its name!...
Yes, and when movies continue to make money, the end is never in sight. I actually liked Genisys more than most. As with Back to the Future II, Genisys plays with the original movie, bringing in pretty good imitations of the former actors and a computer face lift for Ah-nold. Good action scenes, fun effects – and okay, some wooden acting – make the movie better than it should be.
