Based on true events.
ClearPlay In Action!
About 20 instances of language are cut in the ClearPlayed version. There are also a couple of disturbing scenes of violence and cruelty, one involving people trying to scale a wall. Most younger viewers won’t understand the subtlety of the espionage and tension of the political relations. But the movie reflects an important time in history, and is worth viewing by older pre-teens and above.
Is Tom Hanks an international man of mystery?...
The reliable Hanks delivers a solid performance in the understated Bridge, and Rylance excels as the quiet Russian. The movie’s action is mostly internal, but this doesn’t keep it from being taut and engaging.
