Star Wars: Episode VII- The Force Awakens
“Where’s Waldo”? No, “Where’s Walker”? Luke Skywalker has gone missing, and the universe is a pretty big place to hide. First, though, there’s work to do before the search continues. The Empire is no longer, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a powerful, huge force to reckon with(though not the Force in the title). In place of the Empire is the First Order, ready to rule the universe, and it’s up to a plucky band of rogues, a disenchanted Stormtrooper, and other members of the Resistance, to fight something that’s no planet. Nostalgia ensues.
ClearPlay In Action!
A couple of profanities are cut in the ClearPlayed version, but ClearPlay mostly deals with scary images here, as well as some scenes of violence. In spite of some serious plot developments, the movie is still geared toward families, and the movie is handled with a light touch that is more New Hope than Empire Strikes Back.
Is the Force strong with this one?...
Director J.J. Abrams manages to do what George Lucas couldn’t, and that’s make a satisfying sequel to the Star Wars franchise. The Force Awakens is exciting, funny, and fun, with throwback rewards for old fans, and cool new characters for young ones. These ARE the ‘droids you’re looking for.
