Zoolander 2
This is the sequel to the ridiculously good looking 2001 comedy, Zoolander. Set fifteen years after the original, this movie follows the return of Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) to the spotlight after his modeling career came crashing down. He is joined by the enigmatic Hansel (Owen Wilson) and together they try to revitalize their careers while solving a global conspiracy. Even though this movie is rated PG-13, there are many things in this movie you may not want your 13-year-old to see.
ClearPlay In Action!
This film is similar in tone to the original Zoolander movie, which means an abundance of sexual humor. There are many conversations and jokes specifically regarding anatomy and sexual acts. There is also a surprising amount of language and violence in this film. While the violence is mostly done for comedic effect, it could be disturbing to some viewers. There are entire scenes that will be cut out when the Sex filter is on Most Filtering, but you’ll still have plenty of movie left.
Is Zoolander 2 a Model Film?...
Zoolander 2 isn’t as strong as the original movie, which isn’t that strong to begin with. It rehashes a lot of the old jokes and tries to cover up its laziness with celebrity cameos and shock humor. However, it did get one or two genuine laughs from me, and the plot, though completely ridiculous, was somewhat amusing. This isn’t a movie you would watch with your family, but if you liked Zoolander and you’re hanging out with friends that also liked Zoolander, you may just enjoy the sequel.
