Race
For Jesse Owens (Stephan James), there’s no black or white while running, only fast or slow. “Race”—aptly titled on several levels—gives insight to the pressure and prejudice Jesse faces to compete in the Berlin 1936 Olympics.
ClearPlay In Action!
The filters jump over a scene of bare-chested athletes and a sensual situation, plus leave racial slurs, derogatory names, and mild profanity in the dust. ClearPlay goes the distance!
Does Race win gold? …
I love the Olympics. Dates on my calendar through the year 2022 are marked, “Olympics. Do Not Schedule Other Stuff!!!” Is it any surprise that I love this film? It’s like having a front row seat at the world’s stage in a turbulent and historical time. Jesse Owens is legendary and Race is a winner.
