World leaders gather in London to pay respect for the deceased Prime Minister, but terrorists strike with mass assassinations and destruction. Secret Service Agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) must defy the odds to protect America’s President, Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart). This is a sequel to Olympus Has Fallen, but stands on its own.

    ClearPlay In Action!

For a flick filled with destruction, violence, gore, gruesome deaths, nearly 40 F-words, and other strong language, it stands to reason that ClearPlay filters (especially on highest settings) will create frequent and numerous jumps throughout the film.

    So, who has fallen? …

London’s bridge and famous landmarks come falling down with fascinating special effects. I like action films, but this one pushes a disheartening message of extreme revenge from all sides (not just terrorists), and based on the filtered jumps, contains mostly gratuitous gore and profanity. Forget London. By the time it ended, I was more disturbed by how far the filmmakers had fallen. For Secret Service action, or an attempted kidnapping of a U.S. President, I prefer “In the Line of Fire” and “Air Force One” (both available with ClearPlay).

Rated R for strong violence and language throughout; 99 mins; Directed by Babak Najafi
