Now You See Me 2
The Four Horsemen gear up for a grand comeback performance but find themselves caught in an elaborate trap set by tech genius Walter Mabry (Daniel Radcliffe). Blackmailed and threatened, the illusionists agree to help him with a near impossible heist, but hope to turn the tables and expose the corrupted mastermind.
ClearPlay In Action!
ClearPlay’s technology removes the profanity and religious exclamations like magic. Gone, too, are sexual references. Disturbing images, such as a magician seeming to rip a bird’s head off and a woman removing a bloody fake arm, also disappear. Poof.
So, can you see them now? …
Now You See Me 2 has numerous references to the Horsemen’s previous magical manipulations, so I recommend seeing the first installment. The film is confusing enough without added puzzlement of unknown backstory. Still, there are moments of intrigue, fast paced illusions, and stars worth watching—Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Daniel Radcliffe, and Woody Harrelson (in a fun dual role). It's an amusing method for making two hours vanish.
