When orcs use a magical portal to enter the world of Azeroth, the humans must defend their cities and their people from their attacks. King Llane Wrynn, ruler of the Stormwind Kingdom enlists the help of Sir Anduin Lothar, his military commander and Medivh, the mystical Guardian to defend against the orc onslaught. Meanwhile, Durotan, an orc chieftain, becomes uneasy with the dark magic the orc warlock is using and considers joining the humans to fight against his own people.

ClearPlay In Action!

Warcraft is full of fantasy battles and animated violence. Plenty of blood (both red and green) is spilled on the battlefield. ClearPlay can cut out the more disturbing stabbings, beheadings and dismemberment, if you’d like. The orcs are scantily clad, but there is no nudity. Finally, there is also some scattered mild language that the filter can easily edit out.

So Does Warcraft Bring Honor to Azeroth?

Video game movies do not have a very good reputation, and Warcraft does not help that poor reputation. The story is predictable, the characters are tired tropes, the action is bland and the humor is flat. There is some engaging animation, but it’s not enough to save this movie. Perhaps I would have liked this film more if I were a bigger fan of Warcraft, but I hear gamers weren’t too happy with this adaptation, either.
